PUBLIC MEETINGS

The first public meeting for the Slippery Rock Watershed Assessment was held at the Boyers Social Hall on February 24th, 2003. Bob Beran, a long-term resident of Boyers and the President of Beran Environmental Services, Inc., delivered a PowerPoint presentation introducing citizens to the Slippery Rock Watershed Assessment. The presentation included information on the purpose of and procedure for the assessment.

The second public meeting for the watershed assessment was held on May 13th, 2004 at the Boyer's Sportsmen's Club in conjunction with the Slippery Rock Watershed Coalition's annual "Get-Together." Topics discussed included preliminary information on the year-long water quality monitoring program, GIS data layers being developed for the assessment, and the results of the fisheries survey that was conducted last summer.
