    Accepting the Challenge

The book Accepting the Challenge, a primer on the history, cause, and solutions to abandoned mine drainage, is available to local schools and interested citizens. Written chiefly by Will Taylor, program coordinator at Jennings Environmental Education Center, this book provides an excellent, comprehensive overview of many abandoned mine drainage issues. Full of interesting pictures, this easy-to-understand book is a must-read for anyone desiring to know more about AMD.

    The ABCs of Our Watershed

A coloring book called The ABCs of Our Watershed has been designed for children ages 6 and younger. Each page highlights a different aspect of our watershed in a fun, pictorial way suitable for kids. As they journey through the alphabet, kids color and read brief descriptions on topics like wetlands, mining, bats, and more.
